Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we extend our invitation to you on behalf of the European Polymer Federation (EPF), the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV), Polymeer Technologie Nederland (PTN), and the University of Groningen. We invite you to join us at the European Polymer Congress 2025 (EPF 2025), taking place at the Martiniplaza, Groningen, The Netherlands from 22 -27 June 2025.

As the most significant European conference in the field of Polymer Science and Technology, the European Polymer Congress serves as the flagship event of the European Polymer Federation (EPF), a non-profit organization encompassing nearly all National Polymer Societies in Europe. Originating in 1986 with 16 European countries as founding members, EPF has since expanded to include 24 full members and 4 associate members. The European Polymer Congress, established in 2001, has evolved into a biennial congress of considerable scale, attracting an ever-growing and diverse participation.

Under the theme "Polymers for a Sustainable Future," EPF 2025 promises to be a landmark congress. It will bring together scientists engaged in macromolecular chemistry, polymer science, physics of polymers and polymer materials, modern polymer applications, polymer reaction engineering, rheology and polymer processing, polymer characterization methods, and more. Special thematic sessions will cover a wide array of topics, including

  • Advances in Polymer Synthesis

  • Green polymer synthesis

  • Supramolecular polymer systems, Dynamic networks and Vitrimers

  • Polymers for Biological, Medical and Food Applications

  • Physics, Physical Chemistry of Polymers

  • Modern Characterization Techniques

  • Rheology and Polymer Processing

  • Additive Manufacturing

  • Polymer systems for reduced carbon footprint

  • Recycling Techniques & Design for Recycling

  • Nanostructured Polymers, Composites, Blends and Soft Matter

  • Theory, Modelling and AI Approaches of Polymers and their Properties

Our program boasts distinguished plenary, keynote, and invited speakers from around the globe, offering insights into the latest developments in polymer research. Contributions from both seasoned and emerging scientists will include oral and poster presentations. We are actively encouraging the participation of industry representatives, recognizing the pivotal role of collaboration between universities, research centers, and industry in driving technological advancements.
We eagerly anticipate the gathering of polymer scientists from Europe and worldwide, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge and ideas. Your presence at the conference will undoubtedly contribute to the success of EPF 2025.
